PROSPECTING IN NETWORK MARKETING (MLM - SBC) BOTH OFFLINE & ONLINE

On to prospecting....Questions:

What is prospecting?
Why prospect?
Where do you prospect?
How do you prospect there?
When do you prospect?

Prospecting is basically getting contacts or leads to potential customers and distributors after creating an awareness or campaign to promote your business. Mainly what you're looking for is a name and contact. But not just to anyone, but a name and contact to someone who has a need, someone who's Self-Motivated and Self-Driven ie. has a Focus to a certain Goal, someone who's open minded and lastly, one who's willing to learn and practice.

The main goal of prospecting is making a sale and earning the commission from it, but before making the sale, there has to be a customer or distributor who's willing to buy or upgrade into the system.

Truth is, most 'kawaida' people especially those having some struggle or a responsibility of a kind in life don't like buying stuff. Their budget is tight to say.

But network marketing offers them more. That's why you sell two things in Network Marketing:
1. A product or service
2. An opportunity to create an income out of it.
That way you sell more and as well help out your customer. Thus the main work is mainly getting potential customers who will as well be distributors and making the sale. And through that you earn commissions from each sale.
By now you already know the kind of customer or distributor you need.
Social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google Plus offer the opportunity to build relationships with potential prospects for your network marketing business. You can use these sites to post information about your business and highlight the income potential of joining your team.

NB: Don't Sell Immediately, Build Trust first.

Below is a To Do List on Prospecting:

1. Personal Branding

This includes all your online profiles ie. WhatsApp profile picture and status, Facebook profile and timeline, Twitter profile and your tweets etc. Nice and descent profile pictures of oneself and the status should be either informative, motivation, inspirational; generally it should be positive and of value to someone. All this personal branding helps in creating followers who's interest in your activities will lead them to being potential customers and distributors who'll actually come to you instead of you asking them if they're interested in the opportunity
2. Facebook
To start with, the profile. A very powerful book found in the SBC E-Library, "Facebook for Business", has details on how to brand your Facebook. Creating a business profile on Facebook is quick and easy and allows you to communicate with people all over the world, not just in your own area. On Facebook, you are in control of who sees your profile and updates and privacy settings can be adjusted according to your preferences. Building a good reputation is essential in any business venture and Facebook can make or break you. Make sure therefore that you think through carefully what you post and also make sure you deliver on your promises. You have the opportunity of making a name for yourself in a short amount of time on Facebook – something that was unheard of years ago – so make sure you keep your fans and followers updated. The idea here is to be consistent.
The other thing about Facebook is getting traffic and you do that in the following ways:
i) Adding Friends and DM with the friends in a respectful and encouraging manner.
ii) Creating a Page and inviting massively for guys to like and follow the page. Update the page as often as you do on your time, consistency is key.
iii) Liking and Commenting positively on friends' posts.
iv) Creating a Facebook Group and being consistent on sharing your content there.
v) Joining other Groups and posting your prospecting content there as well.
vi) Creating and Campaigning for Events. Use the events feature on Facebook to your advantage by having regular highly campaigned for Events to promote your business orientation and training meetings.

Monitor your statistics on Facebook, the number you DM, the number of groups you post to and such. Advisable to have a good number of FB accounts, about 4 plus, to avoid vigorous activities on one account which will lead to Facebook blocking the account. Standardize your work in each account. So it would be like 30 DM in each account, post to 75 groups in each and so on... This is campaigning with your content to a huge crowd which will as well increase on the prospects got.

3. Twitter
Follow, follow and follow more guys here. Twitter is hyperactive so tweeting hourly would really come in hand. Use a software to automatically DM your followers. Examples of softwares to use for Twitter: unfollowspy.com , crowdfire , unfollowers.info etc. Just synchronize your twitter account with any of these softwares and edit your automatic DM message there.

4. Instagram
Personal branding is the first thing here, so your IG account should fist be attractive to the eyes. Sharing content oftenly that's also catchy and that will ensure a user follows you. Most of the things you require to do on twitter will also apply here.

5. 3rd Party Recommendation
Basically, am referring to friends of your friends. Your friends can recommend to you their friends.

6. Blogging
Your blog content needs to be helpful to your readers, not just a bunch of words plastered on a page to meet a deadline.
Read more about blogging here; there's a full article on the same.

7. Lead Capture Page and Auto-responder

In online marketing, a landing page, sometimes known as a "lead capture page" or a "lander", is a single web page that appears in response to clicking on a search engine optimized search result or an online advertisement. The landing page will usually display directed sales copy that is a logical extension of the advertisement, search result or link. Landing pages are often linked to from social media, email campaigns or search engine marketing campaigns in order to enhance the effectiveness of the advertisements. The general goal of a landing page is to convert site visitors into sales or leads. If the goal is to obtain a lead, the landing page will include some method for the visitor to get into contact, usually a phone number, or an inquiry form. If a sale is required, the landing page will usually have a link for the visitor to click, which will then send them to a shopping cart or checkout area. By analyzing activity generated by the linked URL, marketers can use click-through rates and conversion rate to determine the success of an advertisement. The design of the landing page layout matters and this should be tested with different ideas and page layout styles to see what converts and works better.

8. Ads Sites eg OLX, Pigiame, Brighter Monday...etc

 9. Posters and fliers
